Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Solar Design Engineer. The Solar Design Engineer will be responsible for creating detailed PV design layouts, preparing electrical designs, and developing comprehensive solar permit packages. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site assessments, performing solar system design calculations, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations. The role requires active collaboration with the engineering team to deliver high-quality, authority-ready designs.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge in Solar Industry, Solar Power, and Solar Systems
  • Experience in PV Design and Electrical Design
  • Proficiency in using design software and tools relevant to solar engineering
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field
  • Experience in preparing authority-ready permit packages is a plus
