Role & responsibilities :
An FMCG Product Manager oversees a product's entire lifecycle, from initial market research and idea generation to product launch and ongoing management. Key responsibilities include developing product strategy and roadmaps, understanding consumer needs, driving product requirements, and creating marketing and pricing strategies. The role requires strong analytical, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills, with a focus on market research, competitive analysis, and translating business goals into actionable product plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire life cycle of a product from concept to market launch and beyond.
- Market & Consumer Research: Conduct market research to identify consumer needs, market trends, and potential product opportunities.
- Product Strategy: Develop and execute product strategy and roadmaps, aligning them with business goals.
- Product Development: Generate detailed product requirements, specifications, and production timetables.
- Marketing & Positioning: Define the product's positioning, develop marketing strategies, and support product launch activities.
- Pricing & Profitability: Develop pricing strategies and plans to ensure product profitability.
- Competitive Analysis: Assess the competitive landscape and position the company's products effectively against competitors.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, marketing, and R&D, throughout the product development process.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Analytical Skills: Strong logical and analytical skills to interpret market data and consumer insights.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects from initiation to completion.
- Consumer Understanding: Keen insight into consumer behavior, needs, and desires.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate business goals into product initiatives and develop long-term product visions.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to present ideas and influence stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the FMCG sector, including its products, market dynamics, and regulations.
- To reach the Sales Target and Good selling knowledge.
Preferred candidate profile : Good communication skills and fluent in English & Hindi language is mandatory.
Travel : 60:% Travel is mandatory - Frequent Visit to Manufacturing plant in Rajastaha and Mandhya Pradesh states. May be ready travel for client visit to any parts in India
Experience : Experience in FMCG product selling is mandatory.
.Qualification : BSC / MSC / Diploma in Food Technology is compulsory.
Experience in FMCG sector is mandatory.
