We are seeking a qualified and experienced
Safety Officer
to ensure a safe and healthy working environment across our projects. The role involves implementing occupational health and safety (OHS) policies, conducting risk assessments, ensuring statutory compliance, and fostering a strong safety culture within the organization.
Organizational Role
The Safety Officer will work closely with project teams, management, contractors, and various departments to ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and standards. The role also includes incident investigation, safety performance analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) policies and programs
- Advise and guide employees on safety-related matters including machinery use, noise levels, and safe work practices
- Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventive and corrective safety measures
- Review and update existing safety policies in line with current legislation and statutory requirements
- Plan and conduct OHS training programs for employees and management
- Inspect work sites, equipment, and activities to identify hazards and non-compliance
- Ensure proper installation, maintenance, handling, and disposal of hazardous substances
- Monitor and stop unsafe acts or processes that pose health or safety risks
- Record, investigate, and analyze incidents, accidents, and near misses
- Prepare safety reports, incident statistics, and compliance documentation for senior management
- Coordinate with external agencies during audits, inspections, or emergencies
Experience Required
- 5–7 years
of relevant experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role
Qualifications
- Diploma in Fire & Safety
(Mandatory) - Additional certifications in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., CSP, OHST) will be an added advantage

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to conduct training and safety awareness programs
- Proactive approach towards risk identification and mitigation
