Role & responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor company safety policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments at project or plant sites.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations, OSHA, and other applicable standards.
  • Organize and conduct safety training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective/preventive measures.
  • Maintain all safety documentation and records as per company and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure safe execution of work.
  • Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safety discipline at site.
  • Participate in safety meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of the safety management system.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Industrial).
  • Diploma in Industrial Safety or equivalent (recognized by State Technical Board / Government).
  • 25 years of experience in safety management, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or industrial projects.
  • Knowledge of ISO Occupational Health and Safety Management System) will be an added advantage.
