Job Summary
We are looking for EHS leader who will be responsible for ensuring safety and compliance at EIMC, Talegaon Factory. Driving sustainability projects and align with Global Sustainability strategy. Shall develop strong safety culture across all BUs in India. Shall have ability to work with different business units across India and guide them in safety and compliance. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
SAFETY: -
Compliance of site Statuary & legal requirements of factory EHS and monitored through legal register.
Working factory inspectors and other statutory officers like DISH, MPCB, NMMC, MIDC etc. responding to their observations and remarks regarding safe working environment.
Factory consent to operate amendment & renewal.
Get Fire NOC from the fire Department.
Inspection & Certification of Hoist, Forklift in Form 11 & Pressure vessel in Form 13.
After modification in the plant layout, take approval from DISH.
Getting Structural Stability Certificate from a DISH approved competent person.
Organizing & conducting monthly Safety Committee Meetings along with plant and service safety committee members to rectify the safety related issues.
Analyzing / Investigating all Accidents, Near-Misses, Dangerous occurrences & Fire / Property damage incidents & recommending necessary corrective / preventive measures to avoid recurrence of the same & maintain accident register book.
Working as an MR for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 handling various internal / external audit requirements of these systems & maintaining necessary records & documents for the same.
Handling necessary procurement, maintenance / servicing & refilling of Fire Extinguishers, Monitoring of Fire Hydrant, Water Sprinkler Systems & Diesel engine and study for adequacy of this equipment.
Promote achievement of the company OH&S aims and targets; drive compliance to company OH&S policies, principles, procedures, and practices.
Preparing necessary work instructions / safe operating procedures for various processes.
Followed Work Permit System like General work, Height Work, Confined space, Hot work permit and Electrical Isolation work permit.
Providing & Monitoring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) of factory employees.
Safety induction for new joiners, company employees, Contractor/ temporary workers as well as service & project engineers.
Management of Change (MOC) implementation while new equipment installation, new process adoption and factory shifting from one location to another.
Providing first aid training to all first aiders through DISH approved vender.
Involved in employee's engagement programs like Toolbox talks, Cross BU safety audit, Safety Plant round, National safety week celebration etc.
Controlling and follow-up with production in charge for maintaining the minimum stock of various Compressed Gas Cylinders and their compliance and operation.
Closely work with the maintenance team on safe work practices.
Compliance with Factory Mutual (FM) Insurance company and customer safety audit, SMETA etc.
Monthly safety meeting with PAN India EHS leaders, to understand & support for their continual improvement and knowledge sharing.
Facilitated the development and delivery of all HSE training programs to all levels of the organization.
Lead across BU factory audits for compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures that meet OSHA and other safety-related regulations.
Active participation to investigate incidents and accidents to determine root cause and preventive measures.
Mentor of EHS professionals to build leadership and technical skills to improve individual performances.
Preparing & presenting India EHS dashboard to the Top Management.
Support in ISO certification i.e. guidance in Checklist, Format, document preparation, MRM etc.
ENVIRONMENT: -
Handling of various waste like Hazardous, E-waste, Bio-medical, Plastic & General waste.
Tie-up with MPCB authorized vender for disposal of mention waste.
Monitoring Stack emission, Ambient Air & Noise level, Ventilation & Illumination in plant and acting against gaps.
Annual submission of Environmental statement, Hazardous waste and E-Waste returns to MPCB.
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) – Application, Certification and Compliance.
Operations of STP and ETP in various applications like Color Removal & Suspended solid settling in Primary, Secondary (Biological Treatment) and Tertiary clarification, Sludge Dewatering on Primary & Secondary Sludge. Control on COD & BOD and operation of Zero Liquid Discharged (ZLD) plant.
Responsible for identification of reduction in water consumption.
HEALTH: -
Medical check-up of all employees once a year. Keep track of their health issues & maintain health register form No.7
Carried out periodic Kitchen and Canteen hygiene audits.
Regularly organizing Blood donation camp, medical guidance seminar, CSR activities etc.
Ergonomic study of workplace and compliance.

Through knowledge of EHS and Compliance
AIDS certification and work experience with MIDC, MPCB, PESO etc.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
BE in any stream with ADIS and Lead auditor of ISO 14K & 45K with experience 12 to 15 Years in industry.
Factory act compliance, ETP, STP & ZLD operation.
Firefighting system operation
Interaction with DISH, MPCB, CPCB & MIDC officers.
