Technical Writer

Key Responsibilities:

• Manual Creation: Lead the creation and management of technical documentation including user guides, IOMs, SOPs, and other essential manuals.
• SOP Writing: Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures across various business units.
• Technical Content Writing: Produce clear, concise, and accurate technical content, ensuring all documentation is user-friendly and aligns with company standards.
• Copy Editing: Perform thorough copy editing to ensure consistency, grammar, clarity, and accuracy of all documentation.
• Translation and Localization: Oversee the translation and localization process to ensure that technical content is accurately translated and culturally appropriate for international markets.
• Quality Control (QC): Conduct comprehensive quality checks on technical documentation to ensure its correctness, consistency, and clarity.
• Basic Design Skills: Utilize basic knowledge of design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, or other graphic design software to format and enhance technical documentation with visuals, diagrams, and illustrations as needed.
• Web Technology Knowledge: Understand and apply basic web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS) for maintaining online documentation and ensuring it is accessible and easy to navigate.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product management, and customer support teams to gather information and ensure documentation aligns with the latest product updates.
• Content Management: Use content management systems (CMS) to organize, update, and track document versions and revisions.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of documentation production.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in technical writing and publication management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Technical Writing: Proven ability to write clear, concise, and accurate technical content, including manuals, SOPs, IOMs, and other related documents.
• Copy Editing: Strong editing skills to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in technical content.
• Translation and Localization: Experience working with translation services or vendors to ensure accurate and culturally relevant content for global markets.
• Quality Control: Familiarity with quality control processes for documentation to ensure all deliverables meet established standards.
• Basic Design Skills: Basic proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, or similar tools for document formatting, creating diagrams, and integrating visuals.
• Web Technologies: Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and content management systems (CMS) for maintaining and presenting online documentation.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Tools & Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, CMS tools, and other documentation software. Experience with authoring tools like DITA , Document360, Madcap Flare/Central is a plus.

• Understanding of industry-specific terminology and technical concepts.

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in technical writing and publication management.

Pay: ₹351, ₹1,000,000.00 per year
