We are hiring for Stores Executive for our Reputed Manufacturing in Chennai Irungattukottai Chennai

Job Summary:

The Stores Executive will be responsible for managing all store operations, including material receipt, issue, storage, and dispatch, ensuring accuracy and adherence to inventory control standards. The role involves maintaining efficient inward and outward logistics, implementing FIFO/LIFO inventory methods, and maintaining records using advanced Excel tools.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management:

  • Manage daily store operations including inward and outward material movement.
  • Maintain accurate records of receipts, issues, and stock levels.
  • Ensure materials are properly labeled and stored according to company policy.
  • Implement and monitor FIFO (First In, First Out) and LIFO (Last In, First Out) systems effectively.

2. Logistics Coordination:

  • Coordinate inbound logistics for timely receipt of materials from vendors.
  • Manage outbound logistics for dispatch to clients or internal departments.
  • Liaise with transporters, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth movement of goods.
  • Track shipments and resolve any discrepancies or delays.

3. Documentation & Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), Delivery Challans, and Gate Passes.
  • Maintain stock registers and ensure entries are updated in ERP/Excel on a real-time basis.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.

  • Assist in periodic stock audits and reconciliation.

  • Use MS Excel proficiently for inventory tracking, reporting, and analysis.

  • Update and maintain data in ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Identify and report slow-moving or non-moving stock items.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of inward/outward logistics and inventory control processes.
  • Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas, Reporting).
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of FIFO/LIFO inventory methods.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Exposure to ERP or Inventory Management Systems (preferred).

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce / Logistics / Supply Chain / any relevant field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in store or warehouse operations.
  • Experience in manufacturing / engineering / trading / logistics sector preferred.
