A Store Executive is primarily responsible for the overall daily operations, management, and profitability of a store, which includes inventory control, customer service, and staff supervision. The specific duties can vary depending on whether the role is in a retail environment or a warehouse/industrial stores setting. Key Responsibilities

  • Store Operations: Oversee the day-to-day running of the store, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, safety, and security standards are met.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage inventory records (using software like SAP or MS Excel), receive and inspect incoming goods, coordinate with suppliers for replenishment, and handle damaged products or returns.
  • Sales and Profitability: Implement sales strategies and promotional activities, monitor sales performance, analyze data to identify trends, and work to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, handle inquiries and complaints, and foster a positive shopping experience.
  • Staff Management: Supervise, train, and guide store staff, managing schedules and performance evaluations.
  • Financial and Reporting: Manage cash registers and handle financial transactions, prepare and analyze various reports (sales, inventory, etc.), and submit documentation to the accounts team.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience in retail management, warehouse management, or a similar role is generally required.
  • Education: A high school diploma is a minimum requirement, while an associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Core Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are crucial. Problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are also highly valued.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), inventory management software (ERP or POS systems), and basic computer skills are often necessary.

Job Type: Full-time
