Job Title: Costing and Design Engineer

Experience Required: Minimum 3–6 Years

Industry: Wires & Cables / Electrical Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:Prepare accurate cost estimates for different types of wires and cables based on BOM, drawings, and client specs

Analyse raw material consumption (Copper, Aluminium, PVC, XLPE, etc.) and optimize costs

Perform weight analysis for conductors, insulation, armoring, and sheathing

Assist in pricing strategy and provide costing support for tenders and customer quotations

Track and report cost variances; suggest cost reduction measures

Design cables as per IS, IEC, BS, UL, or customer-specific standards

Prepare and update technical drawings, cable constructions, and Bill of Materials (BOM)

Develop GTPs (Guaranteed Technical Particulars) and QAPs (Quality Assurance Plans) for customer approvals and internal use

Collaborate with production and QA teams for design implementation and validation

Provide technical support during sample development and trials

Required Skills & Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Experience in LV and MV cables 3–6 years of experience in costing and design in the wires & cables industry

Proficient in cable standards (IS, IEC, etc.), material specifications, and costing principles

Hands-on experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software for technical drawings

Strong knowledge of Excel, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), and costing tools

Ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines

Good communication and documentation skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30, ₹70,000.00 per month
