Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Electrical Sales Engineer located in Bengaluru. The Electrical Sales Engineer will be responsible for generating sales of power solutions, providing technical support to clients, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include identifying business opportunities, conducting product presentations, maintaining strong client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to tailor solutions that meet customer needs. The candidate will also provide technical advice and support to customers and work towards achieving sales targets.
Qualifications
Sales & Business Development
- Identify, approach, and develop new clients including EPC contractors, OEMs, panel builders, consultants, industrial customers, and distributors.
- Achieve sales targets for LV switchgear solutions including ACBs, MCCBs, MCBs, Contactors, Relays, Panels and related electrical components.
- Prepare and present techno-commercial proposals as per client requirements and company pricing guidelines.
- Conduct market research to understand competitor activities, pricing, and industry trends.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing key accounts and new customers.
- Conduct regular client visits, meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Address customer queries, technical concerns, and provide pre- and post-sales support.
Technical Support
- Understand customer applications and recommend suitable LV switchgear products and solutions.
- Coordinate with internal design, engineering, and estimation teams for customized solutions.
- Provide technical clarification, product selection guidance, and tender compliance documentation.
Tendering & Documentation
- Review enquiries, BOQs, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Prepare quotations, compliance statements, submittals, and coordinate tender documentation.
- Support in contract negotiation, costing, and order finalization.
Coordinating & Reporting
- Collaborate with production / supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Follow up for payments, order execution, and logistics.
- Maintain sales records, project pipelines, and submit regular MIS reports.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- 2–5+ years of experience in Sales of LV Switchgear / Electrical Products / Industrial Automation.
- Strong knowledge of LV switchgear components, electrical distribution systems, and panel building.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools and ability to read electrical drawings.
- Strong networking, customer handling and problem-solving abilities
