The Role

As the Supply Chain & Operations Manager, you'll be a part of EDT's founding team, owning the backbone that takes products from global vendors to Indian homes. This role is both strategic and hands-on — building systems from scratch while ensuring flawless execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Chain Management

  • Lead SKD/CKD/CBU import planning and execution for appliances.
  • Manage vendor relationships (India + global) and negotiate MOQs, pricing, and lead times.
  • Align sourcing and logistics with product GTM timelines (Build multi-vendor sourcing strategies to reduce dependency and improve resilience.

2. Import & Regulatory Compliance

  • Oversee customs clearance, CHA coordination, and freight strategy (LCL/FCL/air cargo).
  • Ensure shipments comply with BIS, LMPC, and EPR/QCO regulations.
  • Manage BIS audits, sample submissions, and factory inspections with quality teams.
  • Maintain documentation and proactively mitigate compliance risks.

3. Operations & Fulfilment

  • Coordinate with warehouse leads to implement SOPs for receiving, QC, and dispatch.
  • Ensure on-time fulfilment & all SLA are maintained across D2C, marketplace, and retail channels.
  • Monitor inventory flows and demand forecasts; reduce TAT for replenishment.
  • Partner with product & quality teams to enforce IQC and final QC protocols.

4. Process Leadership & Reporting

  • Build scalable supply chain and operations processes for rapid category expansion.
  • Drive cost optimization across sourcing, freight, and duty management.
  • Develop dashboards for leadership visibility on costs, risks, and fulfilment KPIs.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment between product, finance, and brand teams.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in supply chain + operations, preferably in consumer appliances/electronics.
  • Strong knowledge of imports, customs, BIS/LMPC/EPR compliance and Indian regulatory environment.
  • Experience setting up and scaling ops processes (warehousing, QC, fulfilment).
  • Hands-on with ERP/WMS tools and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, founder-led startup environment.
