Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced
Technical Head
to lead CTA's technical function across product development, pattern making, fitting, and quality assurance. This leadership role requires an expert in apparel product engineering with deep knowledge of fabrics, construction techniques, fit approvals, and international buyer expectations.

The Technical Head will play a pivotal role in ensuring CTA's products meet design intent, global quality standards, and compliance requirements. The role involves close collaboration with design, merchandising, sourcing, and production teams to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and high-quality apparel for global fashion brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the
  technical department
  , including pattern making, grading, fit, and product development teams.
• Review and approve patterns, size sets, and samples to ensure fit accuracy and buyer specifications.
• Collaborate with design and merchandising teams to translate concepts into commercially viable, production-friendly products.
• Define and implement
  standard garment construction methods
  , ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality.
• Establish and maintain technical libraries for fabrics, trims, finishing standards, and garment specifications.
• Manage buyer interactions on fit approvals, risk assessments, technical clarifications, and compliance audits.
• Implement
  process improvements
  to enhance sample turnaround time, reduce rejections, and strengthen first-time-right submissions.
• Drive adoption of
  CAD, 3D sampling, and digital tools
  for faster and more sustainable product development.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve technical issues, improve line efficiency, and minimize alterations or claims.
• Mentor and develop technical teams, creating a strong succession pipeline and culture of excellence.
• Ensure compliance with international quality standards, safety norms, and sustainability commitments.

Desired Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate/Post-Graduate in Textile Technology, Apparel Production, Fashion Technology, or Industrial Engineering.
• 10–15 years of experience in garment exports/apparel manufacturing, with at least 3–5 years in a senior technical leadership role.
• Strong expertise in
  pattern making, grading, marker efficiency, and fit approvals
  for international markets.
• Proven knowledge of woven and knit garment construction across categories (women's & kidswear preferred).
• Experience with CAD systems (Gerber, Lectra, Optitex, or equivalent) and digital sampling tools.
• Deep understanding of
  buyer requirements, compliance standards, and risk management
  in product development.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to align technical excellence with cost efficiency and sustainability goals.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: upto 18 lakhs per year,
  Salary wont be a constraint for bright candidates
