SAP FICO Functional Consultant:

Contract - 3-6 months

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.

· Minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on functional consulting experience in SAP FICO (ECC) Finance modules/ SAP B1 Finance Module

· Should have experience in configuration and mapping business functionalities pertaining to AP,AR,GL, Assets and Taxation.

· Should have technical understanding of Finance, Taxation, Assets module,Global Taxation

· Should be able to generate / extract Sales, inventory data for migration

· Proven experience in at least one full lifecycle SAP FICO implementation oru significant enhancement project.

· Strong understanding and experience with SAP ECC Finance (FI) modules and their integration with other ECC areas.

· Prior experience working on SAP migration projects, preferably from SAP B1 to SAP ECC, is highly desirable.

· Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into SAP solutions.

· Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

· Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

· Experience with data migration tools and methodologies is a plus.

· SAP certifications in relevant modules (SAP B1 Finance, SAP ECC FI) are an advantage.

Responsibilities:

· SAP B1 Finance Expertise:

o Serve as the primary functional expert for SAP B1 Finance modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Bank Reconciliation, Reporting).

o Thoroughly understand current SAP B1 Finance configuration, processes, customizations, and data landscape.

o Identify and document current "as-is" processes within SAP B1 Finance.

o Analyze data structures and dependencies within SAP B1 Finance relevant to migration.

· SAP ECC Finance Understanding:

o Possess a strong understanding of SAP ECC Finance (FI) modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Bank Accounting, Controlling basics).

o Understand the standard functionalities and best practices within SAP ECC Finance.

o Be able to map SAP B1 Finance functionalities and data elements to corresponding SAP ECC functionalities and data structures.

· Migration Planning and Execution:

o Actively participate in the planning and strategy development for the SAP B1 to ECC migration project, specifically focusing on the Finance stream.

o Collaborate with technical consultants (ABAP, Basis), project managers, and business stakeholders to define migration scope, timelines, and deliverables for Finance.

o Contribute to the development of data migration strategies, including data cleansing, transformation, and validation.

o Assist in the design and configuration of the target SAP ECC Finance system based on business requirements and migration considerations.

o Participate in data mapping workshops and ensure accurate mapping between SAP B1 and SAP ECC Finance data.

o Develop and execute test plans for the migrated Finance data and processes in SAP ECC.

o Identify and resolve any functional or data-related issues during the migration process.

· Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:

o Effectively communicate with finance users and other business stakeholders to understand their requirements and address their concerns throughout the migration.

o Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration between migrated Finance data and other SAP ECC modules.

o Provide functional guidance and support to the business during user acceptance testing (UAT) and go-live.

o Develop training materials and conduct user training on the new SAP ECC Finance processes.

· Post-Go-Live Support:

o Provide post-go-live support to resolve any Finance-related issues and ensure a stable SAP ECC environment.

o Assist in knowledge transfer to the internal support team.

o Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for the SAP ECC Finance system.
