MEP Project Manager

About us:

Exide Energy Solutions Limited (EESL) is one of the fastest growing companies who has vision to solve social issues regarding energy, environment, resource, etc with producing lithium-ion battery products. Exide Energy Solutions Ltd is setting up India's first Giga plant to manufacture Lithium Ion Cells in Bengaluru. Exide Energy Solutions Limited is looking for Assistant Manager - Control Engineer in the Manufacturing organisation to achieve company's goal.

Experience Required:

• Should have experience in lithium-ion cells, packs, automotive, electronic gadgets industry.
• Should have experience in Projects site (Minimum 10+ years) especially in MEP activities.
• Should have exposure on industrial projects along with Utility packages like chillers, air compressor, HVAC, HT/LT panels etc.,
• Should have experience with contractor management.

Job Description:

1. Project planning and design:

• Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop project plans, including scope, budget, and timeline degree.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to identify potential risks and limitations.
• Assists in the design and layout of data center facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

2. Project Implementation and Management:

• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
• Oversees procurement of materials and services, ensuring compliance with project budgets and specifications.
• Monitor and track project progress, identify and mitigate any issues or risks that may arise.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction activities comply with project plans and quality standards.
• Cooperate with contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control measures.

3. Quality Assurance and Documentation:

• Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure project specifications are met.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Prepare and maintain project documents, including progress reports, change requests, and specifications.
• Collaborate with project team to complete post-construction reviews and lessons learned.

4. Team Leadership and Collaboration:

• Provide guidance and technical support to cross-functional project teams.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment by promoting effective communication and knowledge sharing.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, promoting their career growth and success.
• Serves as a subject matter expert, providing technical expertise and guidance during project meetings and presentations.

Key Skills requirements:

HVAC System:
Planning and supervising the installation, maintenance, and optimization of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This is to ensure that systems meet sustainability and regulatory compliance goals through in-depth technical knowledge of system components, energy saving strategies, and integration of Innovative solutions suitable for each building project.

Electrical load calculation:
Determining a building's electrical needs is essential to ensuring the electrical system operates efficiently and meets safety standards. This task requires analyzing components such as lighting, heating, and cooling systems to design a comprehensive plan that fits the project's energy needs without making the electrical infrastructure too large or too small.

Plumbing Coordination:
Integrating complex piping configurations with other mechanical, electrical, and structural components requires a meticulous approach. It is essential to optimize the use of space, meet building codes and facilitate an efficient installation process, which directly impacts the success and functionality of the project.

Building Information Modelling (BIM):
Coordination and integration of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems into a unified model is critical. It promotes seamless collaboration across disciplines, maximizes design efficiency and minimizes costly errors during construction

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
