
Area Sales Manager-Retail(Mumbai- Western, South, Harbour)

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) Retail will be responsible for driving sales, expanding market presence, and achieving business objectives across retail channels in the assigned Mumbai region. The role involves managing distributors, retailers, and field sales teams while ensuring effective implementation of sales strategies and promotional activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Achievement:
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as per the company's business plan. - Retail Channel Management:
Manage existing retail network and identify new business opportunities to expand coverage. - Distributor / Dealer Handling:
Appoint, train, and support distributors and retailers to ensure efficient supply chain and stock availability. - Team Management:
Lead, guide, and motivate the sales team to deliver performance and maintain strong market relationships. - Market Development:
Execute retail marketing campaigns, product promotions, and merchandising activities to enhance brand visibility. - Market Intelligence:
Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends to provide actionable insights to management. - Customer Relationship:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners and customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty. - Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and MIS for management review.
Key Requirements:
- Qualification: Graduate / MBA in Marketing or Business Administration preferred.
- Experience: 5–10 years of experience in Retail Sales, preferably in Building Materials / FMCG / Construction Chemicals / Consumer Durables.

Strong negotiation and communication skills

- Good knowledge of Mumbai market geography and retail trade dynamics
