Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Stores Manager to oversee end-to-end inventory and stores operations at our 2-Wheeler Manufacturing Plant. The role requires effective management of 400+ SKUs, supervising a team of 5+ store personnel, and ensuring smooth material flow to support production, Spares and dispatches.

  • Manage receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods.
  • Ensure stock accuracy through proper binning, tagging, and periodic cycle counts.
  • Maintain inventory records in TCS iON and reconcile with physical stock.
  • Monitor consumption patterns, safety stock levels, and prevent stock-outs or excess inventory.
  • Establish and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for stores operations.
  • Coordinate with Purchase, PPC, Production, and Quality to ensure on-time material availability.
  • Lead and develop the stores team (5+ members), ensuring discipline and productivity.
  • Control scrap handling, disposal, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and ISO/5S requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in stores efficiency and accuracy.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Graduate / Diploma in Materials Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
  • 810 years experience in manufacturing stores & inventory management.
  • Strong knowledge of TCS iON / ERP systems.
  • Good analytical and leadership skills with ability to manage large SKU base
  • Experience in automotive / 2-wheeler / component manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Inventory accuracy 98%
  • On-time material availability for production
  • Effective scrap & non-moving stock control
  • Adherence to SOPs, audits & statutory compliance
  • Team performance & productivity
