Job Title: Vigilance and Security Manager

Reports To: Head HR & Administration / Director Operations

Job Summary:

The Vigilance and Security Manager will be responsible for ensuring the overall security, vigilance, and integrity of company operations, assets, and personnel across all logistics locations. The role involves implementing preventive vigilance measures, conducting investigations, monitoring compliance, and ensuring the safety of company premises, goods in transit, and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Vigilance Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and investigate cases of malpractice, theft, pilferage, or policy violations within the organization.
  • Conduct surprise checks, route audits, and branch inspections to identify and prevent irregularities in operations.
  • Develop and implement vigilance policies, SOPs, and preventive control mechanisms across the logistics network.
  • Liaise with operations, HR, and finance teams to ensure transparency and compliance with company rules and statutory guidelines.
  • Handle employee complaints, vigilance reports, and disciplinary cases with confidentiality and due process.
  • Prepare detailed investigation reports and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Security Responsibilities:

  • Oversee physical security arrangements across branches, warehouses, yards, and transshipment hubs.
  • Supervise security personnel and coordinate with third-party security agencies to ensure adequate deployment and alertness.
  • Monitor CCTV surveillance, access control, and fire safety systems to ensure round-the-clock safety.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement security plans for the movement of high-value consignments.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement agencies during incidents such as theft, accidents, or disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and security-related legal requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Graduate / Postgraduate (Preferred: Background in Security Management / Law / Criminology / Administration).
  • Minimum 8 to 15 years of experience in vigilance, security, or loss prevention, preferably in the logistics, transport, or warehousing industry.
  • Prior experience with law enforcement, armed forces, or corporate vigilance departments will be an added advantage.
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Good communication, leadership, and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to travel extensively to branches and operational sites.
