Job Title: HSE Engineer Data Centre Project
Location: Bangalore - Devenahalli
Department: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Job Purpose:
The HSE Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at the data centre project site. The role involves implementing and monitoring HSE policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring safe work practices to protect employees, contractors, equipment, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific HSE plans, policies, and procedures for the data centre project.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and job safety analysis for project activities.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory regulations, international standards, and company HSE policies.
- Carry out daily site inspections to identify unsafe acts/conditions and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE awareness training for workers and contractors.
- Maintain and update HSE documentation, records, and reports as per ISO standards.
- Monitor use of PPE, safe work permits, and adherence to method statements/work procedures.
- Support audits and inspections by clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Promote a strong safety culture on-site and ensure continuous improvement in HSE performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or relevant field).
- NEBOSH / IOSH certification mandatory.
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of HSE experience, with at least 2 years in data centre, industrial, or MEP projects.
- Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
- Familiarity with local HSE laws, international safety standards, and best practices.
- Good communication, leadership, and report-writing skills.

- Analytical and problem-solving skills for hazard identification and mitigation.
- Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills to liaise with project teams, contractors, and clients.
