TrueLark is an AI-powered virtual receptionist designed for appointment-based small and medium-sized businesses. Its agentic AI platform manages scheduling, rescheduling, and client inquiries through SMS and web chat, providing 24/7 support. TrueLark helps businesses recover missed calls, increase bookings, and streamline front-office operations.
As we scale globally, we're investing in our first Platform Engineering team to modernize our infrastructure, increase developer velocity, and enable the next generation of AI-driven features.
The OpportunityWe're looking for a Platform Engineer who thrives on building scalable systems and frameworks that empower developers to ship faster with confidence. You'll help design, implement, and evolve our infrastructure platform as we transition from Azure to GCP—laying the foundation for reliability, observability, and self-service across all TrueLark services.
You'll play a key role in leading our journey to unify infrastructure under GCP, evolving from a single-team Azure model to a shared, scalable platform aligned with Weave's broader SRE and DevX strategy.
This isn't a traditional DevOps or operations role. You'll write code, design systems, and collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to create automation, developer tooling, and cloud infrastructure that scales with our business. You'll also work closely with Weave's SRE and Platform Engineering teams to align on cloud standards, automation frameworks, and operational best practices.
As one of the foundational members of the TrueLark platform team, you'll lay the groundwork for a culture of observability, resilience, and developer enablement—bringing modern platform practices to a fast-growing, product-driven startup.
Location: Must be located in Bengaluru, India to be onsite 3 days a week.
Reports to: TrueLark, Co-founder
Platform Foundations: Design and implement the core infrastructure platform powering all TrueLark services, enabling development teams to deploy, monitor, and scale autonomously.
Cloud Infrastructure (Azure + GCP): Manage existing Azure infrastructure while architecting and migrating workloads to GCP.
Infrastructure as Code: Build reusable, modular Terraform/Bicep configurations and frameworks for provisioning environments at scale.
CI/CD Systems: Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or equivalent tools; add testing, security, and rollback logic to ensure fast, reliable releases.
Observability & Reliability: Implement monitoring, tracing, and logging across services using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar tools to improve reliability and performance.
Developer Enablement: Partner with product engineering teams to identify friction points, introduce self-service capabilities, and increase deployment velocity.
Security & Compliance: Embed best practices for IAM, secrets management, and network security into platform design.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with Weave's SRE and Platform Engineering teams to ensure alignment on cloud architecture, tooling, and reliability standards across the organization.
3–5 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, or Platform Engineering, with at least 2+ years focused on coding and automation.
Hands-on experience with both Azure and GCP (or strong multi-cloud proficiency).
Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation).
Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript (beyond scripting).
Experience designing or optimizing CI/CD systems and integrating automation into developer workflows.
Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes (AKS/GKE), and container orchestration fundamentals.
Familiarity with monitoring and observability frameworks (Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog, OpenTelemetry).Understanding of networking, identity, and security in cloud environments.
Proven experience collaborating with multiple product or development teams, influencing best practices around reliability and scalability.
Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service infrastructure tools.
Proven success migrating workloads between cloud providers (Azure → GCP preferred).
Contributions to open-source IaC or automation projects.
Deep curiosity for developer experience (DevEx) and improving productivity through tooling.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a team-first mindset.
