Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, architect, and build scalable infrastructure on AWS, or other major cloud providers (Azure, GCP), while optimizing for performance and cost-efficiency. In this role, you will own the end-to-end implementation and maintenance of cloud infrastructure using an IaC-first approach, ensuring seamless integration with our security and compliance standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Architect and build cloud environments : Design, architect, and implement AWS (or Azure/GCP) infrastructure that meets business requirements, focusing on optimal performance and cost efficiency.

- Infrastructure as code : Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Pulumi or Terraform. Create and maintain universal base images with Packer.

- Containerization and deployment : Demonstrate expertise in containerized workloads and deployment strategies. Manage multi-cloud Kubernetes environments, including multi-cluster setups.

- Monitoring and maintenance : Monitor and maintain infrastructure using OpenTelemetry (Signoz) and other relevant tools. Own the performance and observability pipeline for the infrastructure.

- CI/CD pipeline management : Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and best practices for their optimization.

- Collaboration and support : Provide technical support for AWS and other cloud tooling issues. Work closely with Security, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure systems meet required standards and regulations.

- Ownership and innovation : Take end-to-end responsibility for cloud infrastructure performance. Stay informed about emerging trends in infrastructure management and cloud technologies.

REQUIREMENTS :

- Experience : 6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering on AWS (or any similar cloud platform).

- Skills and mindset : Self-motivated, well-organized, and eager to learn new technologies. Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, TypeScript, or Go) with a strong commitment to IaC.

- Adaptability and autonomy : Comfortable with ambiguity, able to translate broad ideas into actionable plans. Proven track record of success in fast-growing tech environments, with a desire for hands-on, high-ownership roles.

- Awareness of trends : Knowledge of the latest developments in infrastructure management, security, and compliance.

NICE TO HAVE :

- Compliance and security : Experience with regulations such as HIPAA, SOC 2, DPDP, ISO 27001, or similar.

- Certifications : Any active AWS (or equivalent cloud provider) certifications.

- Multi-cloud experience : Familiarity with managing multi-cluster, multi-cloud environments.
