Role & responsibilities

The NRI Relationship Manager will be responsible for managing and deepening relationships with Non-Resident Indian (NRI) clients by providing them with tailored banking solutions, investment advisory, and superior customer service. The role involves business development, portfolio management, cross-selling, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Acquisition

  • Identify, acquire, and onboard new NRI customers through referrals, networking, and market intelligence.
  • Generate leads for NRI deposits, remittances, and investment products.
  • Build relationships with NRI families and High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs).

2. Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all NRI clients.
  • Maintain and grow the assigned NRI client portfolio by cross-selling bank products (savings, deposits, investments, insurance, remittances, loans, etc.).
  • Provide personalized banking solutions and ensure high client satisfaction.

3. Portfolio & Revenue Management

  • Achieve targets related to deposits, assets under management (AUM), remittances, and revenue generation.
  • Track portfolio performance and proactively engage clients to retain and grow balances.

4. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to RBI guidelines and bank policies related to NRI banking.
  • Complete KYC/AML checks and documentation for NRI accounts.
  • Safeguard customer data and follow compliance requirements for cross-border transactions.

5. Service & Customer Experience

  • Provide end-to-end assistance for account opening, remittances, and investment transactions.
  • Handle queries, complaints, and service requests promptly to ensure excellent customer experience.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of NRI Banking, remittances, deposits, and investment products.
  • Sales and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and presentation abilities.
  • Understanding of compliance, KYC, AML, and regulatory norms.
  • Customer-centric with problem-solving attitude.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 37 years of experience in NRI Banking / Priority Banking / Wealth Management.
  • Proven track record in client acquisition and portfolio management.
