Position Overview
The
Head of Business Analytics
leads the analytics function, driving the analysis of complex business data to inform management, departmental heads, and key stakeholders. This role is responsible for identifying trends, interpreting patterns, and delivering actionable insights that shape business strategy and execution. The position reports to senior management and partners closely with cross-functional teams to support business planning, investor reporting, and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead analytics initiatives and manage a team of analytics and MIS specialists.
- Drive customer analytics through segmentation and behavioral insights.
- Oversee risk analytics, including portfolio risk monitoring and mitigation.
- Develop business growth strategies using customer data and product need assessments.
- Conduct market research for new geographies and product opportunities.
- Perform business process analyses to identify and correct process inefficiencies.
- Lead HO initiatives through business analysts and monitor progress on key projects.
- Support senior management in business plan development and investor reporting.
- Contribute to business strategy formulation and investor management.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures to maintain consistency and quality in analytics outputs.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Education: MBA with strong domain knowledge in Finance, Business Analytics, and Corporate Strategy.
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience, including at least 3 years managing teams.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead analytics and MIS teams, drive cross-functional initiatives, and support senior management decision-making.
- Technical Expertise: Working knowledge of 'R' and other data analytics software.
- Soft Skills: Demonstrated strengths in critical thinking, data analysis, result orientation, collaboration, and planning and organizing.
