Role & responsibilities : A price auditor's job description includes verifying a company's cost accounting and financial records for accuracy and compliance with regulations, analyzing financial data, and preparing audit reports to recommend improvements. Key responsibilities
- Conduct audits: Perform audits on financial statements and cost records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and accounting principles.
- Analyze data: Examine and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, or potential fraud.
- Ensure compliance: Verify that the company is adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Prepare reports: Create detailed audit reports that document findings, conclusions, and recommendations for improvement.
- Present findings: Communicate findings, observations, and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
- Make recommendations: Suggest improvements to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of the company's financial and cost accounting systems.
Qualifications and skills
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is typically required. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is often preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in auditing and financial reporting is beneficial.
- Analytical skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities are essential for evaluating data and identifying issues.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheet programs, and data analysis tools is necessary.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for report writing and presenting findings to different audiences.
- Attention to detail: A high level of attention to detail is required for meticulous examination of records.
- Integrity: An auditor must be independent and objective, handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Strong in Computer skills - Ms word, Ms office, Ms Excel , Tally, etc
Preferred candidate profile : Any graduate with price audit knowledge
strong in Tally, Excel profiency , Making reports, Quick learner and able to process the data independently.
