Key duties involve examining records, identifying discrepancies or fraud, ensuring adherence to accounting principles, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct audits: Perform audits on financial statements and cost records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and accounting principles.
  • Analyze data: Examine and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, or potential fraud.
  • Ensure compliance: Verify that the company is adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
  • Prepare reports: Create detailed audit reports that document findings, conclusions, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Present findings: Communicate findings, observations, and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
  • Make recommendations: Suggest improvements to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of the company's financial and cost accounting systems.

Qualifications and skills

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is typically required. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is often preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in auditing and financial reporting is beneficial.
  • Analytical skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities are essential for evaluating data and identifying issues.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheet programs, and data analysis tools is necessary.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for report writing and presenting findings to different audiences.
  • Attention to detail: A high level of attention to detail is required for meticulous examination of records.
  • Integrity: An auditor must be independent and objective, handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong in Computer skills - Ms word, Ms office, Ms Excel , Tally, etc

Preferred candidate profile : Any graduate with price audit knowledge
