Role & responsibilities

Product Planning & Development

  • Collaborate with designers and buyers to plan collections in line with market trends.
  • Develop seasonal merchandise plans for gold, diamond, and gemstone jewelry.

Vendor & Supplier Coordination

  • Source materials and finished products from trusted vendors across India (e.g., Surat for diamonds, Jaipur for colored stones).
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely deliveries.

Inventory & Stock Management

  • Track and forecast inventory needs across stores or markets.
  • Ensure optimal stock levels and rotation to reduce dead stock.

Market & Trend Analysis

  • Study domestic and international jewelry trends.
  • Analyze competitor collections and pricing to stay competitive.

Sales Support

  • Liaise with sales and retail teams to understand customer preferences.
  • Help create visual merchandising strategies and promotional campaigns.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure quality checks, hallmarking, and certification (BIS, IGI, GIA as applicable).
  • Maintain proper documentation for exports, GST, and customs compliance.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Fashion Merchandising, Jewelry Design, Business, or related field.

25 years of experience in jewelry merchandising or luxury retail.

Strong knowledge of precious metals, diamonds, gemstones, and current trends.

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP software, and inventory tools.

Knowledge of CAD/CAM and jewelry production is a plus.

Required Qualifications:

Exposure to both traditional and contemporary Indian jewelry styles.

Experience dealing with overseas clients (especially Middle East, US, or UK markets).
