Engineer Application Support

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Application Support Engineer to join our integration team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Boomi, event-driven architectures, AWS, and ETL tools such as Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) or Matillion or equivalent experience. Experience with AWS Glue, Kafka, and Snowflake is a plus.

This role requires a strategic problem solver with strong technical depth, a passion for innovation, and problem-solving abilities. You will handle integration processes and maintain a customer-first attitude to ensure minimal business disruption.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain integration solutions between cloud and on-premises applications (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, SAP).
• Administer and monitor Boomi Atoms, connectors, and process schedules.
• Analyse Boomi process logs and error messages to identify and resolve integration issues.
• Respond to incidents, prioritize based on impact, and bring up when necessary.
• Collaborate with application owners, developers, and business users to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical customers.
• Experience in performing change management activities, including testing and deploying new or updated integrations.
• Ensure all changes align with governance and compliance protocols.
• Record and share incident details, solutions, and operational procedures to support team knowledge.
• Find opportunities for process improvements and automation.
• Proactively monitor integration processes for performance and failures.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5-7 years of proven hands-on experience with Boomi AtomSphere, including design, development, and deployment of integration processes.
• Deep understanding of event-driven architecture and integration patterns (ETL, real-time, batch).
• Proficiency in AWS services, especially API Gateway and hosting solutions.
• Solid command of Boomi connectors such as HTTP, SOAP, REST, JDBC, SFTP, and others.
• Familiarity with XML, JSON, SQL, JavaScript, and Groovy scripting.
• Good understanding of API development and web services architecture.
• Experience with error handling, exception management, and logging in Boomi.
• Working knowledge of ETL tools such as Matillion or IICS.
• Experience in monitoring Boomi integrations using dashboards, alerts, and performance tuning techniques.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of effective partner engagement.
• Self-starter with solid organizational, research, and learning skills; able to prioritize tasks effectively.
