Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in , TypeScript, and SQL on a contract basis. The role involves working with the existing product development to develop new backend features and handle large integrations. The minimum commitment required for this contract is at least 6-months.

What will I be doing ?

  • Building enterprise backend services from scratch and owning them from inception to launch.
  • Working with our product lead, backend team and frontend team to build products with the goal of delighting and increasing the success of the end users.
  • Architecting, building, testing, and releasing product-facing features.
  • Integrating and deploying 3rd party services.

What do I need ?

  • At least 3 years of industry experience in a backend development engineering role, preferably building enterprise products in NodeJS/TS.
  • You can demonstrate significant impact that your work has had on the product and/or the team.
  • Deep knowledge of Javascript/TS, NodeJS, Express, MySQL, ElasticSearch, NoSQL DBs, and OpenAPI.
  • Hands-on experience with using AI IDEs/Agents for development (Cursor, Windsurf, Co-pilot, or Kiro)
  • Ensuring that the solution is secure, scalable and reliable.
  • Good eye for documentation and code coverage with test cases
  • Willingness to learn and use new technologies.
  • Ability to debug complex systems.
