Sales officer Modern Trade

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Sales officer/ Territory Sales Manager Modern Trade (MT) to lead and manage key accounts and modern trade channels in the Bangalore region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FMCG sales, excellent account management skills, and an understanding of both Modern Trade and General Trade operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Modern Trade business growth through effective account management and strategic partnerships with key retailers and modern trade chains.
• Develop and execute annual business plans, promotions, and joint marketing initiatives with key accounts.
• Negotiate trading terms, margins, and visibility agreements with modern trade partners.
• Ensure effective execution of planograms, product visibility, and merchandising standards at store level.
• Collaborate with supply chain and finance teams to ensure product availability, timely collections, and efficient operations.
• Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities; recommend corrective actions where needed.
• Lead and mentor a sales team to achieve sales, distribution, and profitability targets.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of national and regional MT programs.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in FMCG sales with at least 4–5 years in Modern Trade management.
• Proven track record of handling large key accounts and achieving sales objectives.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• GT (General Trade) knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel across the region as per business requirements.
