Role / Designation- Medical Coder
Years of Experience: 8-10 years of relevant experience in medical coding using CPT, ICD-10, and E/M coding
Education / Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Life Sciences, Health Information Management, or related field; coding certification mandatory
Job Location: Vizag (WORK FROM OFFICE)
Other requirements-
Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
- Assigning accurate CPT, ICD-10, and E/M codes to diagnoses and procedures based on medical record documentation.
- Review and ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance of coded data in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policy.
- Work closely with healthcare providers to clarify diagnosis and procedure information as required.
- Meet quality and productivity standards as defined by the organization and clients.
- Keep abreast of coding updates, changes in regulations, and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with US healthcare industry regulations; ability to work flexible shifts as needed
- Participate in audits and assist in resolving coding-related queries or discrepancies.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical coding standards.
Skills Required:
- Comprehensive knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and E/M coding guidelines.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and medical billing software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact professionally with clients and internal teams.
