Job Summary

The Junior Safety & Compliance Officer will assist in ensuring that workplace safety and compliance standards are maintained in the leather goods manufacturing facility. The role includes supporting safety programs, assisting in audits, maintaining records, and helping train employees to promote a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing safety programs as per statutory and client-specific requirements.
  • Support in conducting regular workplace safety inspections and audits.
  • Help in identifying potential safety risks and reporting them to senior officers.
  • Assist in organizing and delivering basic safety training sessions for employees.
  • Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and training activities.
  • Support in investigating workplace accidents and preparing reports.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior team members and other departments to strengthen the culture of safety and compliance.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Education: Degree/Diploma in Engineering/Technology or Diploma in Industrial Safety.

  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a safety/compliance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Exposure to social audits (SMETA, BSCI, etc.) is an advantage.

  • Experience in leather goods or garment manufacturing preferred

  • Skills:

  • Knowledge of basic safety regulations and compliance standards.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in safety management.
