Service Advisor

Job Summary:
The Service Advisor acts as the key link between customers and the service department. This role is responsible for understanding customer complaints, preparing job estimates, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring timely delivery of vehicles or equipment with complete customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and understand their service or repair requirements.
- Prepare job cards, cost estimates, and get customer approval before starting the work.
- Coordinate with mechanics and technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely repairs.
- Communicate clearly with customers about service status, additional repairs, and delivery timelines.
- Perform final inspection before vehicle delivery to ensure all issues are resolved.
- Explain the work carried out and billing details to the customer.
- Maintain complete service records and follow up for periodic maintenance.
- Handle customer complaints and escalate issues when necessary.
- Promote service offers, maintenance packages, and value-added services.
- Ensure a high standard of customer service and workshop discipline.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma / Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in a similar role at an automobile dealership or service center.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic technical knowledge of vehicles and repair procedures.
- Good organizational and customer-handling skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and service management software.
- Pleasant personality and customer-focused attitude.
