Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It)

We are seeking a Data Protection Operations & Incident Response Manager, with a strong focus on Microsoft Purview, to join our Data Protection and IT-Security team and take ownership of our Microsoft Purview platform. This role is pivotal in ensuring our data governance, classification, and compliance posture is operated in a robust, scalable, and aligned fashion and is aligned with regulatory requirements and business needs. We're looking for a talented and dynamic individual who is self-motivated and loves finding optimal operational results to join us to protect our enterprise, customer, and employee data.

Your AMINA To-Do List

Operational Management

Design, deploy and configure Purview modules (Information Protection, Communication Compliance, Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk Management, Data Lifecycle Management, etc.)Monitor and optimize scanning, classification, and labeling performanceConfigure scanning rules, sensitivity labels, auto-labeling policies, and encryption mechanisms.Optimize Purview settings and policies for performance, cost-efficiency, and compliance.\Coordinate Integration with Purview across Microsoft 365 workloads (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online) and Azure services.

Data Protection & Compliance

Align Purview configurations with internal data governance frameworks and external regulations (e.g., GDPR, FINMA), based on guidance from the Data Protection Officer.Work closely with the Data Protection Officer, the CISO and the IT teams to address any data-privacy related issues.Familiarize yourself with the Data Protection requirements of the Bank.Support RTB and CTB data protection related issuesEnsure compliance with data privacy regulationsGenerate dashboards and reports to visualize data usage, risk exposure, and compliance status, based on Purview statisticsCollaborate with stakeholders to ensure labeling and protection schemes meet operational and legal requirements.

Incident Response & Triage
 
Triage Purview alerts and investigate data-related incidents.Perform quality reviews of incidents and optimize policy and alert rules.Escalate confirmed positives to the Data Protection Officer.Coordinate and Support containment and remediation efforts for data breaches and policy violations.Document incident findings and contribute to post-incident analysis and reporting.

Experience

5+ years in data governance, compliance, data management or Information Security
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview.Proven track record in deploying and managing Purview across enterprise environments.A big plus is experience in the data protection environment
Technical Skills

Deep knowledge of Microsoft Purview (Data Map, Catalog, Compliance Portal, EDM classifiers, Sensitive info types).Strong understanding of Microsoft M365 and Azure ecosystem: SharePoint, Synapse, Data Factory, Azure SQL, Data Lake.Experience with Microsoft 365 Compliance Center, DLP, eDiscovery, IRM, and Communication Compliance.Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
Certifications (Preferred)

Certifications: SC-400(Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate) and SC-401(Microsoft Purview Solutions Expert) are strongly preferred Microsoft Certified: Azure FundamentalsMicrosoft Certified: Data Analyst AssociateCDMP or equivalent data governance certifications
Soft Skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.Good presentation skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Fluent in English (written and spoken).
