Role & responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide electricians for installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems in the mine.
  • Ensure compliance with DGMS guidelines, Indian Electricity Rules, and safety standards.
  • Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of motors, panels, transformers, conveyors, and lighting systems.
  • Inspect, test, and maintain cables, switchgear, earthing, and other electrical equipment.
  • Maintain daily logbooks, inspection records, and maintenance reports.
  • Respond promptly to electrical faults or emergencies to avoid downtime.

Technical Skills

  • Leadership and team supervision skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and statutory compliance.
  • Ability to work in shifts and under challenging mine conditions.

Certificate Required :

A valid Electrical Supervisor Certificate (Mines) issued under the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) / DGMS (Directorate General of Mines Safety), India.
