Job Description:Requirements:Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with artists and engineers to integrate art assets into the game engine effectively.
  • Build tools and automate workflows for efficient asset handling, shader creation, and pipeline processes.
  • Contribute to shader development, lighting setups, and visual effects to enhance artistic outcomes.
  • Optimize 3D assets-including models, textures, shaders, and animations-for mobile performance without sacrificing quality.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and proactively propose and implement optimization strategies.
  • Stay current with emerging tools, technologies, and best practices in game development.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in a game studio.
  • Solid grasp of GPU render pipelines and architecture; ability to interpret GPU frame captures and CPU trace logs.
  • Strong understanding of 3D art creation principles including modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, and UI integration.
  • Proficiency with game engines such as Unreal Engine (preferred) or Unity.
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as Python or C# for tool creation.
  • Proven experience in shader programming and optimization techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and collaborative problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have:
  • Proficiency in C++
  • Experience with rigging, skinning, animation state machines, and building animator-friendly rigs.
