Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating risks, underwriting policies, and ensuring compliance with company standards. You will handle Request for Quotations (RFQ), maintain Turnaround Time (TAT) on sharing quotes, and manage monthly renewal notices to clients. A thorough understanding of rating underwriters and adherence to regulatory requirements is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess insurance risks for general insurance policies.
  • Prepare and share quotes with clients within agreed TAT.
  • Handle RFQ process efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain and communicate monthly renewal notices to clients proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, rating procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with brokers and clients to facilitate seamless underwriting processes.
  • Keep abreast of underwriting norms, rating changes, and industry regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a general insurance underwriter.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting principles, rating, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet TAT deadlines.
  • Familiarity with underwriting software and tools.
