Product Manager

Role Description: The Product Manager for Core HR, Hire & Retire, specialising in SAP SuccessFactors, is responsible for shaping and executing the strategic roadmap for Employee Central, Recruiting, Recruitment Marketing, Onboarding and Paradox across Office, Retail and Crafting & Supply. This role is central to translating business needs into scalable product features, managing a dynamic product backlog, and driving continuous improvement through agile delivery.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define and maintain the product vision and strategy for SAP SuccessFactors in alignment with business goals.

• Develop and manage a multi-phase product roadmap, balancing long-term innovation with short-term delivery.

• Align roadmap priorities with operational needs, compliance requirements, and user experience improvements.

Backlog Management

• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is well-groomed, prioritised, and reflects evolving business needs.

• Write clear and actionable epics, user stories and acceptance criteria for features related to scheduling, time & attendance, and labor forecasting.

• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure backlog items are understood, estimated, and delivered on time.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with HR, Retail Excellence and IT to gather requirements and validate solutions.

• Facilitate regular backlog refinement sessions, sprint planning, and product demos with stakeholders.

• Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring SAP SuccessFactors features meet the needs of store managers and frontline employees.

Delivery & Optimization.

• Monitor product performance, adoption, and feedback to inform backlog prioritization and roadmap adjustments.

• Apply AI to accelerate decision-making and discovery, using LLMs, data agents, and analytics copilots to synthesize customer insights, market trends, and product feedback into actionable priorities.

Compliance & Innovation

• Ensure SuccessFactors configurations support labor laws, union agreements, and retail-specific compliance.

• Stay informed on SuccessFactors product updates, workforce trends, and emerging technologies to inform roadmap evolution.

Interface:

Support Product directors in collaborating with stakeholders across the business to define solution requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.

• Serve as a bridge between product teams and Product directors to facilitate clear communication and understanding of technology solutions to business units.

• The Product Manager partners with HR, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure SuccessFactors capabilities deliver measurable value, compliance, and operational efficiency.

SKILLS & KEY LEADERSHIP BEHAVIORS:

Strong knowledge of the SAP SuccessFactors suite.

• Strategic acument and conceptual ability to drive Product Strategy in alignment with business goals and vendor-driven innovation

• Proven track record in modern product management, with hands-on experience using AI or data-driven tools (e.g., LLM copilots, customer insight automation, or product analytics platforms) to inform strategy, execution, and measurement.

• Familiarity with agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) and backlog management practices.

• Practised service design and design thinking as a discipline

• Knowledge of workforce analytics and performance metrics.

• Certifications in SAP SuccessFactors, Agile Product Management, or related disciplines.

• Lead by example in advocating for product innovation and experimentation culture.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

5+ years of experience in product management and HR technology

• Proven experience managing product backlogs and roadmaps in agile environments.

• Strong expertise in SAP SuccessFactors Suite

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Technology, or related field.
