Job Description

We are hiring a
Head of Projects
for our client in EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction). This leadership role is responsible for driving the successful execution of EPC projects in the
Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Biotech
sectors. The ideal candidate will ensure end-to-end project delivery—covering engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning—within defined cost, quality, safety, and timeline parameters.

This is a strategic and execution-focused position, requiring strong technical expertise, client engagement skills, and proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Lead overall project lifecycle from concept, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning to handover.
  • Ensure delivery of projects within budget, schedule, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects, including revamps, expansions, and greenfield facilities.
  • Serve as the key contact for clients, ensuring stakeholder alignment and satisfaction.

Planning & Resource Management

  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation across disciplines.
  • Conduct regular project review meetings, progress tracking, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with procurement and vendor teams for timely material and service delivery.

Team Development & Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, engineers, and site teams.
  • Foster a high-performance culture with focus on safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration across engineering, procurement, and construction teams.

Commercial & Contract Management

  • Participate in contract negotiations and vendor management.
  • Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.
  • Support claim management and resolution of contractual issues.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Chemical Engineering
    (PMP certification preferred).
  • 12–20 years of EPC project experience
    , with at least 5 years in a senior project leadership role.
  • Proven track record in delivering medium to large-scale EPC projects in Chemical, Pharma, or Biotech sectors.
  • Strong leadership, client-facing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent ability to manage timelines, budgets, and multi-disciplinary teams.
