Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager - Reinsurance Operations (Assumed & Ceded)

Responsibilities:
·    Technical Accounting & Processing – Handle end-to-end processing of technical statements of account (SoA) for premiums, claims, and risk transactions across all reinsurance businesses
·    Contract Setup & Interpretation – Review and interpret reinsurance contracts, wordings, and slips to accurately set up treaty and facultative agreements in operational systems
·    Financial Booking & Reconciliation – Record and reconcile financial transactions related to premiums, claims, recoveries, and brokerage in accordance with contract terms and accounting policies
·    Reinsurance Calculations – Perform complex calculations including reinstatement premiums, profit commissions, sliding scale adjustments, and no-claims bonuses
·    Cash & Receivables Management – Manage unallocated cash and aged receivable clearance, ensuring timely identification, matching, and resolution of outstanding items
·    Stakeholder & Broker Engagement – Liaise with brokers, reinsurers, and internal finance/underwriting teams to resolve data discrepancies and maintain accurate records
·    Reporting & Controls – Support management and regulatory reporting needs, maintain audit trails, and ensure compliance with internal controls and reinsurance governance standards
·    Continuous Improvement & Controls – Strengthen process controls, identify automation opportunities, and drive consistency and efficiency across Reinsurance operations

Minimum Qualifications:
·    Graduate / Postgraduate in any stream
·    Relevant years of experience in managing Reinsurance Operations processes
·    Proven experience within Re-Insurance domain preferably Assumed business
·    Experience in working with SICS system would be added advantage

Preferred Skill Set:
·    Thorough knowledge of Insurance / Reinsurance business
·    Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
·    Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
·    Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues to senior management
·    Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
·    Self-starter, with ability to work under own initiative
·    Strong time management skills
·    Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
