Purpose of the role - The primary objective of the role is to manage & lead a team handling post sanction life cycle of corporate loan in Core Banking System The role requires active coordination and monitoring of the core tasks i.e. setup of limits, disbursement, loan management, computation of drawing power, income booking, reconciliation of internal accounts under corporate business segment. The role would involve interaction with varied stakeholders (business/credit/mid office/ policy team) to ensure that laid down processes got implemented & executed smoothly. Key responsibilities Operational Responsibility:
• Ensure all post sanction & disbursement instructions issued by Mid-office through Disbursement Notice are processed as per extant internal guidelines and Bank's credit policy. This includes setup of fund based & non-fund based facilities, disbursement of loans, loan servicing (rollover/recovery/prepayment/drawing power computations/ modifications in existing loan).
• Implementing restructuring of loans in line with sanction conditions in CBS
• Capturing critical information related to borrower and facility so to ensure smooth and correct regulatory & internal reporting
• Ensure no income leakage - booking of Income (Fee/Charges/Interest) in CBS and managing receivables
• Handling of NPA, write-off accounts and recoveries thereof
• TAT monitoring for all type of requests, thereby meeting SLA for each segment
• Ensure uniformity in allocation of transactionsorporfolio for optimum utilisation of time and resources (productivity)
• Conduct frequent meetings with relevant stakeholders to understand the requirement & addressing concerns, if any.
• Process management & re-engineering
• All transactions are carried out in line with internal process with Nil deviations. Any deviations (if any) is carried out with adequate approvals.
• Ensure implementation of all process and policies as per defined SOP.
• Established adequate control checks has been ensured at a portfolio level.
• Data Quality, Control, learning including critical implemetation, process simplification with derived benefits (efficiency) is ensured for the entitre portfolio under management on periodic basis to Unit Head BO
• Ensure timely reporting of any Operational Risk Event and complete RCA
• Ensuring safe keeping of all Voucher, Customer Documents as per Process 4. Timely dispatch of Banks records to Vendor warehouse.
• Create and test the BCP Model for the Unit as per Bank's policy
• Ensure Confidentiality, Integrity and availability of all documents held by unit whether in hard or Soft copies.
• Tracking process and projects initiated in Units for closure within the timelines agreed. Systems & Control Process:
• Drive & monitor the team for ZERO DEFECT in capturing details in CBS basis details mentioned in DN and/or other peripheral systems.
• System update (Core Banking Fields including UDFs) to ensure correct reporting a. All regulatory fields including sensitive sector UDF, PSL classification, LDS monitoring is being done and periodical submissions is made to UH. b. Monitoring critical activities w.r.t Penal, LEI, GL Recons as per frequency etc
• Ensure that there are Nil write –offs / P & L hits on account of operating errors. Any potential loss events observed should be reported & mitigated.
• Identify potential risk items in existing process & processing methods to develop suitable mitigants
• Monitoring of team productivity & efficiency
• Monitoring of internal accounts & suspense accounts of the unit. Ensure no unidentified amount parked in internal accounts owned by the Unit.
• Responsibility of voucher management including storage and offload to vendor Governance & Compliance Responsibility:
• Read, imbibe all internal process, Credit Policy, Operational Risk policy & RBI regulations impacting post sanction activities.
• Mentoring & guiding team over such policies in efficiently executing their assigned task
• Timely & accurate regulatory & internal management reporting
• Tracking of all open Audit/ OR/Compliance points and to close them within the target dates
• Develop a culture of Zero Non-Compliance
• Initiatives to achieve Zero operational loss and error
• Timely closure & periodical reconciliation of open exceptions
• Support Unit & other business functions in preparation of any audit related deliverables and attend to any audit findings and resolve them immediately
• Read, imbibe all internal processes and relevant policies of the Bank which are instrumental in handling the operations of the unit.
• Develop recon machanism for customer request and transactions so to ensure NIL miss outs at EOD for processing Process Efficiency:
• Ensure to keep the productivity of the unit at optimum utilisation. Benchmark - upto 100%
• Straight Through Processing by developing operating model to adopt First Time Right.
• Updation and change management of all existing processes.
• Initiatives in technology projects for risk mitigation, process efficiency and automation
• Develop and agree on SLA with stakeholders along with Process and Project Team of Corp CAD. SLA should be reviewed every FY on an ongoing basis.
• Digital Roadmap or Technology Adoption of the Unit HR Practices:
• Attract, mentor, groom and retain talent
• Regular trainings are conducted for overall development of the team to ensure Team Performance and retention of talent
• Engage with team via conducting daily huddles/ Product of the Week/ Monthly Activities
• Adherence to HR policies released from time to time
• Adherence to YES Personality guidelines & Code of Conduct
• Ensure timely escalation and constructive feedback on issues impacting business
• Build knowledge based best practices for constantly improving productivity of the team. Skills – Required
• Analytical mindset with a relevant experience in Corporate Credit Operations within BFSI (15+ years)
• Prior leadership experience with a proven record of an efficient team member
• Knowledge and understanding of corporate lending products, trade facilities, post sanction loan lifecycle especially with Back Office experience
• Clear understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation methods
• Think logically and laterally to solve problem
• Clarity of thoughts and eye for detail
• Working experience on Core Banking System (preferably Flexcube) Essential
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, Hindi
• Well versed with MS-Office (MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Powerpoint)
• Sensitive to issues of confidentially and compliance
• Solution driven, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in teams, flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs Academic qualification –
