About the Role

We're looking for a
proactive and strategic Category Manager
to join our team at
Dropdash
.

You will own and grow a product category – from selecting the right assortment to negotiating with suppliers, defining pricing, and driving profitability. If you have worked with leading
fashion/e-commerce companies like Myntra, Ajio, or Nykaa Fashion
, and know how to scale categories in the Indian market, this role is for you

What You'll Do

  • Plan and execute growth strategies
    for your assigned category.
  • Research market trends, customer behavior, and competitors
    to stay ahead.
  • Negotiate with vendors & suppliers
    to secure best terms and build strong relationships.
  • Work with
    marketing & sales teams
    to launch new campaigns and promotions.
  • Manage
    pricing, promotions, inventory, and demand forecasting
    to maximize profitability.
  • Track
    KPIs and category performance
    ; take corrective actions wherever needed.
  • Ensure
    customer satisfaction
    by aligning offerings with market demand.

What We're Looking For

  • 2–5 years
    of experience in
    category
    management.
  • Prior experience in
    fashion/e-commerce companies (Myntra, Ajio, Nykaa Fashion, etc.)
    .
  • Strong understanding of the
    Indian retail & e-commerce market
    .
  • Bachelor's degree
    in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in
    Excel, reporting, and category management tools
    .
  • Strong
    analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
    .
  • Ability to thrive in a
    fast-paced, startup environment
    .

  • Familiarity with
    retail merchandising systems/software
    .
  • Knowledge of
    pricing strategies, margin analysis, and inventory management
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    demand forecasting & data analytics tools
    .
  • Passion for e-commerce and customer-first thinking.
  • Multilingual skills to cater to diverse Indian markets.
