Asst. Maintenance Manager

Roles and Responsibilities:Ensure safety and personal Hygiene being maintained in all areas of the Maintenance360 degrees coordination with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Customer Service, and project groups for timely completion of maintenance works and projects to ensure no delays in production and projects implementation.Participation in production planning and scheduling and ensuring all machines are running according to the plans.Ensuring that the maintenance is cost effective and pro-active.Keep Maintenance Logs and report on daily activities. (Being converted into an App based monitoring program) ensure proper updating on AppPlan and manage all repairs and installation activities.Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations and allocation of work to team members.Create and implement all maintenance procedures.Develop clear accountability for maintenance material spend combined with a strategy to manage expenditure.Making sure that the maintenance done to the equipment is according to the standards and first time right. No short-cuts.Monitoring the machine health and ensure all the equipment are in good health always by coordinating with production teams.Responsible for the selection of right human resources in the department and maintain accountability of each person.Monitoring All Audits to ensure no major NCs reported in any of the audits in maintenance departmentIdentifying training needs.Train or oversee training of employees in the use of existing and new equipment or production techniques for continual productivity improvement.Supervising and motivating a team of Technicians.Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership and develop as required to achieve the objectives.Preparation of periodical (daily/monthly) Reports and Statistics related to MIS reports for Production.Ensure complete compliance to prescribed customer audits, 5S, TPM, ISO, BRC and SEDEX. In the departmentEnsure no traces of oils, greases and any other contamination left out after maintenanceEnsure to collect daily readings for Energy, water and other legal requirements.Ensure impeccable maintenance of tools trolly with everything in proper place.Responsible for Smooth functioning of Maintenance in cordial manner in the factoryEnsure safety in the department always and to report to factory manager immediately if at all any accident were to happen.Ensuring correct timely reporting done on daily basis for all the MIS reports.Responsible for Overall maintenance down time is < 2% for primary machines and < 1% for utility.Ensure no short cuts in maintenance procedure which can hamper the machine health in long term.Oversee equipment stocks and place orders to keep minimum inventory stock of all consumables and spares.Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities. (being automated on App so maintain app processes properly)Ensure that preventive maintenance is done for all machines and utilities so that there is minimum downtime.Responsible to ensure all the maintenance costs are well within budget and new projects being implemented on time.Responsible to ensure to reduce maintenance cost by 5-7% YOY by implementing best maintenance practices.Responsible to follow preventive maintenance schedules and to ensure all the equipment, infra of the Department well maintained and in good condition always.Ensure to display and follow all good manufacturing practices in all areas of Maintenance.Responsible to ensure 100%adherence to all customer, system and statutory audits. No Major or critical NCs in the departmentResponsible for training to subordinates on equipment handling to avoid any damages.Ensure to keep workers motivated in the department to avoid manpower iteration.Encourage participation in Cost Savings Rewards Program
