Position: Front Office Manager

Reports to: Managing Director / Executive Director / General Manager

Location: Mysore

Role Overview

The Front Office Manager will lead the front office team to ensure smooth, efficient, and guest-centric operations at The Quorum Hotel. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining operational standards and financial discipline.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Services & Experience

  • Ensure all guests receive a warm, professional, and personalized welcome.
  • Handle guest complaints, special requests, and VIP arrivals with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement measures to improve guest satisfaction scores.
  • Coordinate with other departments (Housekeeping, F&B, Sales, Reservations) to ensure seamless service.

Front Office Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day front office operations including reception, reservations, concierge, and bell desk.
  • Ensure proper handling of check-ins, check-outs, billing, and room allocations.
  • Maintain accurate records of occupancy, revenue, and front desk transactions.
  • Implement and monitor SOPs for guest handling, reservations, and cash management.

Team Management

  • Lead, train, and motivate front office associates to uphold service standards.
  • Prepare duty rosters to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on grooming, communication, upselling, and guest handling.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Revenue & Financial Responsibilities

  • Maximize room revenue through effective upselling and yield management strategies.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, billing, and reporting processes.
  • Coordinate with the sales and reservations team to optimize occupancy and ADR.
  • Prepare and analyze front office performance reports for management review.

Administration & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, and statutory regulations.
  • Maintain accurate guest records as per legal requirements.
  • Oversee inventory of front office supplies, uniforms, and equipment.
  • Assist in budgeting and cost control for the front office department.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree/diploma in Hotel Management or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of PMS (Property Management Systems), reservations systems, and MS Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proven track record in guest satisfaction and team management.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
