PhonePe is seeking a talented Finance Journalist/Research Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to research concepts and happenings related to the stock market and convey them with clarity and creativity. Someone who eats, sleeps and breathes the markets.

Responsibilities

  • Research about the economy, global economic events, businesses, stock markets, mutual funds, personal finance or related topics
  • Keep up with important trends in the stock market and regulatory developments to deliver high-impact content
  • Write comprehensive, and in-depth explainers that are engaging and informative, related to all things markets and finance
  • Execute content strategies to effectively communicate financial news, updates and investment philosophies
  • Pay attention to detail, find authentic sources and fact-check content carefully, while ensuring that it is grammatically correct
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, growth, compliance, and product development to ensure cohesive communication strategies
  • Drive strategic and tactical research including capturing briefs, designing questionnaires, executing studies, and preparing reports
  • Contribute to building the research ecosystem, disseminate learnings, and foster a consumer-centric culture
  • Monitor and analyze content performance, using insights to suggest and implement improvements

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with a knack for adapting tone and style to suit various platforms and audiences
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends related to market and finance
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for continuous learning and self-improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Journalism, Communications, or a related field. A background in finance is preferred, but a deep interest in finance/stock market is also fine
  • Overall 7-8 of experience in the finance domain.
  • Over 3 years of experience in content creation in the finance domain, preferably related to the stock market.
