About position

Location:
Alwar, Rajasthan (candidates residing in nearby cities/districts can also apply)

Duration:
6 Months (with potential for extension, maximum of one year)

Salary:
Consolidated INR 35,000 to 55,000 per month (based on performance and experience)

Role Description

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Research Assistants (RAs) for our upcoming Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) project. Candidates from all sections of society are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), In-Depth Interviews (IDIs), and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs).
  • Analyze collected data and assist in drafting the final report.
  • Supervise field staff and coordinate door-to-door quantitative surveys.
  • Compile and translate field notes, ensuring accuracy and clarity in documentation.
  • Support the team in various research activities and report to the project director/principal investigators (PIs).

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, Sociology).
  • Exhibit sensitivity towards social issues, particularly concerning marginalised communities and individuals in need of special care (e.g., disabled, elderly, children with mental challenges).
  • Must own a Windows laptop
    and an Android mobile phone; proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proven analytical, research, and data analysis skills; experience working with large teams is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.
  • Previous experience in research or academia is advantageous.

Additional Requirements

  • Personal bike is required for field visits.
  • Adherence to a
    strict no-smoking, no-alcohol, no-drugs policy
    at the workplace; candidates free from addictions are preferred.
