The Operational Finance Expert collaborates with and supports the BEAT Towers to ensure that it provides robust financial analysis and support across all towers in the BEAT portfolio to unlock value while also driving and maintaining financial hygiene and governance in the operational processes. This role enables educated decision making for cost management by providing overarching and holistic visualization of the budget utilization of the entire portfolio and consolidating information across products, platforms and services managed by BEAT.

This role will also be responsible for FINOPS activities to support Cloud Optimization across Azure, GCP and AWS to achieve the necessary operational savings.

• To collaborate and drive effective cost management in the BEAT towers enabling transparency in the cost reporting process and effective control over the technology budget utilization.
• Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, challenge the current processes and provide decision support to the tower heads.
• To provide analytical support to Tower heads, budget owners, service owners involved in financial transactions within tight budgetary control and financial governance framework.
• Support the BEAT 3:1 Plan and CMF processes by collaborating with the designated Towers and translate into detailed phased budgets for monthly tracking.
• Maintain the Run Cost Model with accurate details of approved budgets, reported actuals and forecasts based on commercial commitments and guidance from service owners.
• Liaise with the P2P team and service owners to ensure all service agreements in budget are backed by POs/SOWs for accruals. Work closely with the Tech Finance team for accurate booking of month-end accruals, prepayment releases and cross charges.
• Ad hoc reporting and financial modelling for decision support.
• Facilitating cross charges to ensure CTO P&L has net zero impact of billable costs.
• Delivering accurate forecasts, analysis and insight, timely and valuable reporting on performance.
• Drive the monthly finance review meeting with the towers to provide comprehensive updates on available funding, current cost consumption while also tracking the financial risks and opportunities.

• Experience in Basic Accounting and Project Accounting.
• 8-10 years of experience in Operational Finance.
• 3-5 years experience as an enterprise operational finance analyst.
• FINOPS experience with Azure, GCP or AWS.
• Degree in Commerce/ Finance / Business Administration, OR any equivalent degree (CA/ICWA).
• Practical experience with financial management reporting and with budgets.
• Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work with reporting tools such as Service Now, PowerBI to create meaningful visualisations to illustrate spend across the business.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken in English and good listener, able to consolidate the portfolio and present ideas coherently leading to achieving a consensus, even where stakeholders are from a diverse range of business areas.
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work remotely and with virtual teams.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and with minimal supervision.
