Role Overview

We're looking for a strong Power BI and Database Optimization Specialist (4+ years) with deep practical experience. You will be heading up our implementation of Power BI. You'll own database performance, schema design, and be the go-to for query and stored procedure optimization. The majority of this role involves creating complex SQL queries and managing data visualization.

Responsibilities

  • Visualize data using Power BI
  • Refine MySQL schemas and build efficient indexes, stored procedures, and views for high-performance queries.
  • Set up and maintain automated data sync between databases (ETL, replication, or script-based).
  • Collaborate with devs and stakeholders to evolve database design.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills

Must Have Skills

  • Excellent English as this position is client facing
  • MySQL Query optimization & indexing strategies, s
    chema design & column type choices
    .
  • Prior experience with Power BI and power query
  • Knowledge of Incremental Refresh, Composite Models, DirectQuery vs Import tradeoffs
  • Ability to design automated syncing/mirroring between MySQL databases.

Nice to have Skills

  • Knowledge of caching strategies (Redis, Memcached).
