Job Summary:

Data Governance and Monitoring Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Data Governance and Monitoring Specialist to analyze our current Power BI environment, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective governance structures.

  • Assess workspace creation, ownership, access, and lifecycle management.
  • Analyze FUAM reports and metrics to support monitoring, alerting, and usage insights.

This role requires collaboration with data engineers to integrate telemetry data into Microsoft Fabric.

The successful candidate will design reusable templates or processes for long-term workspace monitoring and governance, and provide technical documentation and handover plans at the end of the engagement.

Additionally, this position involves advising business units on reporting requirements definition and implementation, as well as collaborating on international system changes.

Key Requirements and Qualifications

A degree in computer science, economics, or comparable training/professional experience is required.

  • Certifications in Power Bi & Fabric are highly valued.
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with Power BI (tenant-level administration and monitoring) is necessary.
  • Strong expertise in Power BI governance and lifecycle management is essential.

Proven experience working with Microsoft Fabric, particularly lakehouses, warehouses, pipelines, semantic models, and customizing FUAM toolkit or similar telemetry/monitoring frameworks is required.
