Imperva WAF Specialist

We're looking for an experienced Web Application Firewall (WAF) Specialist with deep hands-on knowledge of Imperva WAF to join our cybersecurity team. If you're passionate about application security and have a strong background in WAF configurations and threat mitigation, we want to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain Imperva WAF solutions.
  • Monitor protected web applications and continuously assess security posture.
  • Create, tune, and implement WAF rules/signatures to mitigate evolving threats.
  • Onboard and configure policies for new applications in both staging and production.
  • Fine-tune WAF policies to minimize false positives, leveraging OWASP guidelines.
  • Share blocked request logs and collaborate with app teams for effective tuning.
  • Create detailed reports and advanced alerts based on stakeholder requirements.
  • Participate in security drills, traffic monitoring, and ensure WAF health status.
  • Work on CDN optimizations, origin configurations, redirects, rewrites, and SSL certificate management.
  • Collaborate with various teams to address and remediate application-layer security flaws.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 8–10 years of hands-on experience with Imperva WAF or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of web application architectures and threat vectors.
  • Experience in creating and fine-tuning WAF rulesets and signatures.
  • Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
  • Exposure to CDN configurations, performance tuning, and security best practices.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional coordination
