Role & responsibilities

1. Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and manage a team of design engineers and CAD technicians.
  • Allocate tasks, mentor junior engineers, and ensure skill development within the team.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and documentation.

2. Product Design & Development

  • Oversee the design and development of various types of industrial valves (e.g., gate, globe, ball, butterfly, check valves).
  • Ensure designs are compliant with relevant international standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO, DIN).
  • Conduct design validation through simulations, FEA, and testing.

3. Project Management

  • Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, marketing, and sales.
  • Ensure timely delivery of designs and adherence to project timelines and budgets.

4. Innovation & Optimization

  • Drive continuous improvement in design methodologies and tools.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, performance improvement, and manufacturability.
  • Stay updated with new materials, technologies, and industry trends.

5. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain detailed design documentation, BOMs, and revision control.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes, certifications, and customer specifications.
  • Support audits, certifications, and customer inspections as required.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Strong knowledge of valve standards (API 6D, ASME B16.34, ISO 9001, PED, etc.).
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.) and FEA tools (ANSYS, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
