Objective
To lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Innovation Center Lab for Switchgear and Wiring Devices (WD), ensuring accurate and compliant testing of low voltage products as per IS/IEC standards. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and continuous improvement while supporting cross-functional teams and driving lab excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and type testing of Switchgear and Wiring Devices as per IS/IEC standards.
- Lead lab operations including manpower management, QMS, technician training, and audit readiness.
- Operate and maintain testing instruments; oversee calibration and preventive maintenance activities.
- Record, analyze, and report test results; ensure proper documentation and retention.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards during testing.
- Support root cause analysis for test failures and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Coordinate with design and quality teams for test planning and execution.
- Maintain calibration records and ensure AMC-based preventive maintenance of lab equipment.
- Train team members on testing procedures and develop SOPs.
- Prepare and manage Lab MIS reports and improvement projects.
- Conduct Gauge R&R studies and support NABL-related activities.
