Key Responsibilities:

1. Export Sales & Business Development
  • Develop and implement export sales strategies to achieve business growth.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop new markets, distributors, and clients worldwide.
  • Handle negotiations with international buyers, distributors, and agents.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely responses and solutions.
2. Export Documentation & Compliance
  • Manage complete export cycle including quotations, purchase orders, proforma invoices, LC (Letter of Credit), shipping documents, and payment collection.
  • Ensure compliance with EXIM policy, DGFT regulations, customs, GST, and foreign trade laws.
  • Liaise with export promotion councils and government authorities for incentives, subsidies, and schemes (e.g., MEIS, RoDTEP).
3. Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
  • Coordinate with production, stores, and logistics teams to ensure timely order execution.
  • Select and negotiate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and clearing agents for cost-effective logistics solutions.
  • Monitor export shipments, documentation, and timely delivery to clients.
4. Market Research & Analysis
  • Conduct market research on international competitors, price trends, and customer preferences.
  • Prepare business intelligence reports for management on global trade opportunities.
  • Suggest product modifications or new product introductions based on market demand.
5. Financial & Commercial Management
  • Manage export pricing, margins, and payment terms (LC, advance, DA/DP, etc.).
  • Monitor receivables and ensure timely collection of export payments.
  • Handle currency fluctuations, forex management, and related banking operations.
6. Relationship Management
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with international customers and trade partners.
  • Represent the company in international trade fairs, exhibitions, and B2B meetings.
  • Build long-term business partnerships to ensure repeat and sustainable business.
7. Reporting & Coordination
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reports on export sales performance.
  • Share market intelligence with management for strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate with marketing for promotional material, catalogs, and digital presence for international markets.
Key Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of export-import documentation, customs regulations, and INCOTERMS.
  • Hands-on experience with DGFT, EPCs, customs, and international banking procedures.
  • Good negotiation, communication, and networking skills.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Ability to manage multiple markets and clients simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and export documentation software.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional foreign languages is an advantage.

Educational Qualification:
  • Graduate in International Business / Commerce / Marketing.
  • MBA in International Business / Marketing preferred.
  • Diploma or certification in Export-Import Management (added advantage).

Experience Required:
  • 7–12 years of experience in international sales/export management, preferably in the manufacturing sector (sanitaryware, engineering goods, industrial products, etc.).
  • Proven track record of handling overseas markets and achieving export targets.

KPIs / Performance Metrics:
  • Export sales growth and revenue contribution.
  • New international markets/customers developed.
  • On-time and accurate documentation & shipments.
  • Timely collection of export receivables.
  • Customer satisfaction and retention rate.
  • Cost optimization in logistics and trade operations.
